Tips and Ticks:
⏳ Setup Before Igniting Charcoal
- Prepare skewers and gear before lighting charcoal.
- It usually takes 20 to 25 minutes to get ready for grilling.
- However, you don't want the ready charcoal to burn further if the skewers are not ready for grilling.
- Finalize your setup before starting the charcoal for a smooth grilling experience.
🔥 Heat Deflector Safety
- Place the Lid upside down beneath the Charcoal Chamber for added heat deflection, even though the chamber height is usually sufficient.
- This also offers a convenient spot to rest the Lid during grilling for easy access and added protection.
🚀 Starting Charcoal the Easy Way
- Use the provided Charcoal Starter tool with approximately 2-2.5 kg of charcoal on top.
- Light the igniter cube underneath and stack the charcoal.
- Allow 20 to 25 minutes without fanning, the coals will ignite naturally.
🔥 Handling Hot Charcoal Starter
- When coals are ready, use the Tong to carefully hold the very hot Charcoal Starter and place on top of the Lid under the Charcoal Chamber.
- Use caution as the Charcoal Starter remains extremely hot after about 5 minutes.
🧱 Elevation Stand Adjustment
- Secure the Elevation Stand snugly to the Charcoal Chamber, but avoid overtightening.
- This makes it easier to remove after the grilling session.
🧤 Ending the Grill Session Properly
- Wear the provided BBQ Glove and remove the Elevation Stand with one hand.
- With the other hand, place the Lid over the Charcoal Chamber.
- Set the Elevation Stand on top of the Lid to add weight.
- Closing off air with the Lid allows the charcoal to extinguish naturally.
- Do not pour water on the charcoal to extinguish it.
💰 Saving and Reusing Charcoal
- Typically, 40–60% of charcoal remains unburnt after family grilling.
- When the charcoal is cold, use the provided Plastic Scoop to sift reusable charcoal.
- Store recovered charcoal in the provided Charcoal Bag for next use.
- Use leftover ash as a plant fertilizer or dispose in trash.
🧳 Safe Grill Movement During Use
- Always wear BBQ Gloves when moving a hot grill.
- Lift and place the right leg down first in an extended position, then shift and extend the left leg with your right hand and place the grill down.
- This method ensures both legs are fully extended and stable in the new position.
🧼 Dishwasher-Friendly Components
- The following components are dishwasher-safe:
- Stainless steel skewers with silicone handles
- Aluminum skewers with silicone handles
- Elevation Stands and connectors
- Spin Grill Stands and connectors
- Stainless steel Tong
💧 Skewer Handle Ventilation
- Holes in silicone handles allow water drainage and airflow for proper drying and hygienic storage.
🥙 Skewer Types & Best Uses
- Flat stainless steel skewers are ideal for grilling small pieces of meat and vegetables.
- Square aluminum skewers are perfect for seekh kabob (Video, Video), and larger meat cuts (), and pineapple grilling (Video).
📦 Smart Packing Tips
- Line the Charcoal Chamber with a garbage bag before packing.
- This prevents clean items from contacting ash when stored inside the chamber, preserving hygiene.
🧳 Strong Breathable Storage Bags
- Storage bags are crafted from durable, breathable fabric to allow airflow and prevent moisture buildup.
- They help keep all grill gear organized, protected from scratches, and ready for transport.
🧱 Strong Stainless Steel Frame
- The Grill Frame is constructed from reinforced stainless steel for unmatched stability, safety, and long-term durability.
⚠️ Managing Flare-Ups
- Start with 5-6 skewers while heat is high to limit flare-ups from drippings.
- Once the temperature is stable and flare-ups subside, add remaining skewers for even cooking.
❌ No Dampers by Design
- We have no dampers by design for open grilling with high-quality charcoal like Kingsford provides sufficient airflow.
- Placing the Lid over the Charcoal Chamber fully stops air flow and extinguishes charcoal quickly by not having dampers.
- Without dampers, there is no risk of ash or charcoal falling out, making the grill cleaner and safer.
- In testing, the no-damper design reduced flare-ups in real-world grilling.
- Commercial-level skewer grills traditionally omit dampers for these reasons.
